The Scapular has been around since the 1400s. Archaeologists have found that humans held metaphysical beliefs about death and dying—those beyond what humans can know with their senses because of these beliefs people felt they needed spiritual help.
It is generally accepted that the migration of the Gypsies from India to Europe took place between the ninth and the fourteenth centuries, in a number of waves.
During this time some Gypsies took refuge in Catholic churches and the priest taught them about the saints and icons that protected people in times of need.
Over the years, Gypsies consulted with the Catholic Churches about items to sell. Gypsy incorporated a magical version with herbs and non-recorded ingredients that were taken from ancestral magical ways. Since it was a positive, prosperous experience to earn in a way of being in service.
The Scapular was worn daily for devotional and protective purposes and was considered a portable altar for protection.
